Happy late birthday (very very late birthday) Carter and Holden! I have decided I am a horrible blogger, I totally failed posting about our vegetarian month, but hopefully I'll be able to get some fun summer pictures up. Here are pictures from the boys birthday party.

Carter got a new bike. He can't quite work it right, but he sure loves it!

My boys sure love ice cream!

They love cupcakes too...pretty much anything that makes a mess is their favorite food :)

More cake and messy faces!

Carter got a new basketball hoop from Grandma and Grandpa Farnsworth and both the boys love playing!

Carter's turning into a little reader. He absolutely love his cars book. One day he'll figure out which way to hold it

Vegetarian Month. Day One

So my husband decided last month that for the month of May we would go vegetarian. No meat for one month. That includes chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, fish etc. etc. I'll be honest, it's going to be a bit of a struggle for me. I am a meat girl. I love meat. I don't eat just meat, but I tend to eat a lot of it. Jeremy wants us to be healthier so I agreed to the challenge on one condition-Jeremy had to give up soda pop for the month as well. He probably drinks more soda pop than I eat meat. So we're both doing something really difficult. But our end goal will be to eat healthier. Now keep in mind we are not going vegan, just vegetarian so I can still enjoy milk and cheese as well as eggs. We decided we would blog about our vegetarian adventure and post pictures and recipes so everyone else can enjoy them too. We are excited about experimenting with new recipes and trying new vegetables so as hard as it will be to not eat meat, it will be an adventure!!

Today is Day One. For breakfast, I had two fried eggs and a piece of toast along with a tasty smoothie. I used plain yogurt, fresh strawberries, a whole orange, some milk and a little bit of sugar. It was pretty good.

Horseback Riding

We took the kids horseback riding at Grandpa Larry's house. Here is Carter, the first time on a horse...he was not thrilled.

Holding on to Dad for dear life!!!

Alix loved it and was grumpy when she had to let Carter take a turn again...he still wasn't happy about being the horse.

She's my little cowgirl!

Holden's blessing

We blessed Holden yesterday and everything turned out so great! I thought I'd post pictures from all three of my kids baby blessings. It's crazy how time flies and how things change!

Our Summer So Far

We have had a crazy busy summer so far. Here are just a few pictures.

The kids playing in the rain (including Jeremy!) We have had a lot of rain this year!

Sitting on the front porch enjoying the rain

Jeremy teaching Alix to ride her new bike. She loves it and is so good at riding it already.

Any chance Alix gets she is outside or in the garage riding her bike. It is her favorite mode of transportation when we go to the park or the mailbox

Carter is trouble! I don't know what he was doing on the bookshelf but he thought he was so clever

Hanging out in the haystack. We were playing hide and seek. Alix is not very good at that game but she loves to play it. She usually hides until we stop counting and then when we say "Ready or not, here I come" she usually comes running out of her hiding place yelling "Here I am!"

This is my favorite picture of the summer so far. Alix and Carter are such cheesers and they both love their boots! I love my kiddos!

Happy Birthday Carter!

Carter turned one yesterday, happy birthday little man! We had a birthday party for him last Saturday at Grandma's and had so much fun!

We bought Carter a swing-set for his birthday. He loves the baby swing! I was pushing him in it yesterday and as soon as I took him out he sat down on the grass and cried because he wanted back in. Alix and Jeremy like the swings too.

Birthday Cake

Carter trucking around in his swimming suit. I think he spent more time out of the kiddie pools than in them.

He didn't eat very much of his cake, he mostly dug in it and threw it on Holden

Carter loves popsicles

On his birthday during breakfast Carter was entertaining us and himself by climbing in the pantry!

How adorable is this boy?? I just love him! He loves to play with Dad's hat

We went to the park and ate ice cream. It was extra tasty

Carter loved going down the slide. I had a hard time getting him to sit at the top long enough to take a picture of him.

Carter just liked wondering around in the grass. He looked so cute down there.

I had Mike send Carter down the slip n slide by himself. Am I a mean mom? I thought it was funny. Carter didn't.

It's a boy!

Well we had another boy! Holden Everett Farnsworth was born on Thursday, June 16th at 7:33 pm. He weighed 8 lbs 7 oz and was 21 inches long. He actually has hair too! We haven't taken a very good picture of his head yet but he has dark hair and almost as much as Carter does right now :)
This is one of my favorite pictures so far. We usually get one of Jeremy holding the baby while looking at each other and it's always my favorite!

Our cute little family of five! I can't believe we have three kids already

Proud big sister Alix. She thinks Holden is cute. She can't remember his name half the time. She usually calls him Alema

This was us right before we checked out of the hospital. I picked out Holden's outfit. I think it's pretty cute!

Snoozing on Grandma Nancy's lap

I feel like I have neglected Carter so I thought I'd post some pictures of him as well. He has been walking for about two months now, he is so crazy and into everything! He is a pro at getting around the house now. He loves Alix's wiggle car and she really likes to push him around on it.

I put Zoey's sunglasses on Carter. He liked it for about two seconds then he ripped them off his face and started chewing on them.

We went to St. George and stopped for a hike on the way home. Carter promptly sat down in the water and was soaked by the time we went to the car but he loved it.
